Kīlauea's summit
The Hawaiian Volcano Observatory's cameras on Kīlauea, Hawaiʻi, a still every few minutes. Public domain (USGS).
The roads
California's highways
3,437 Caltrans cameras in 55 counties, a still every few minutes, each camera's own cadence on its tile.
Each picture is its owner's latest still, asked through browse.info about once a minute while it is on your screen, with the time it was made. No video, no recording: Browse keeps none of it, and points at public places only. A Windy.com webcam opens its timelapse in Windy's own player. Night, on a webcam, is when the Sun is more than six degrees below the horizon there, by Browse's calculation from the camera's position and the time. For a screen in a room, the live wall can show these cameras in turn, and its stream mode is made for a streaming app.
